Windows 2000 Installation Instructions For Xerox DocuPrint P12 Printer / Plotter

NOTE: The P12 must be connected to a computer with Internet access.
1. Left-click the [Start] button, point to [Settings], and left-click [Printers].
2. Double-click the [Add Printer] icon.
3. In the Add Printer Wizard welcome window, left-click the [Next] button.
4. In the Printer Location window, un-check the [Auto Plug and Play Detection] option, and make sure that [Local Printer] is selected.
5. Left-click the [Next] button.
6. The next window allows you the option to select the port you want to print to. Select the correct port, then left-click the [Next] button.
7. In the Manufacturers and Models window, left-click the [Windows Update] button.
8. This window allows you to select a supplemented list of manufactures and models. Left-click [Xerox] under the Manufacturers column on the left, then left-click the [DocuPrint P12] in the Model column on the right.
9. Left-click the [Next] button.
10. In the Printer Name window, left-click the [Next] button.
11. In the Printer Sharing window, left-click the [Next] button.
12. The next window asks if you want to print a test page. Select your preferred option, then left-click the [Next] button.
13. The last window that you will see is the Installation Completion window. Left-click the [Finish] button. |
